830 Mile Mondays

This week Caitlin (Chattanooga) is in high gear getting ready for vacation. I (NYC) had a busy weekend and needed to get some grocery shopping and cooking done for the week. Those are our excuses on why we are so late with our entries.  See what 830 Mile Monday is here.

Category this week was animals: whatever medium* we wanted.
*without time on our side, we did these prior to this week, so this is our lazy way out.

Love 2012!

So far this year has been amazing. Spent some time with my family coming into the New Year, in South Jersey breathing in the fresh country air and enjoying some space. We spent time with our niece and she made Christmas so much fun, just pure innocent happiness. Went down to Salem, which is the last exit on the Turnpike to Delaware. It truly is a beautiful farmland complete with silos.

We got our niece a Step2 wagon for Christmas and were very excited by her reaction to it.

Canada's polymer monies!

Way to go Canada with making some pretty sustainable, secure money. Not necessarily loving the design of them but I bet this is a very complicated guidelines. Pretty neat with the raised ink in sections and the smooth textures in others. Worth a watch! View article here.

Poly

Poly, "This project is inspired by the Triangulation invented by the mathematician Boris Delaunay in 1934. While the process behind is complicated, the result reduce an image to its essentials, creating the illusions of triangles, prisms and pyramids."- quoted from the app store.
Pretty neat for 99 cents and gives your pictures a fun little quality.
Check it out here.

Love is love, and vows are vows!

For those who believe in the sanctity of marriage. These are something I did for an Wedding invitation and well with everything going on in the media and with marriage becoming something to just do for attention, I think we need a little reminder of why lovebirds love and why people get married.

How a Agency really runs!

Grip Limited has some amazing eyecandy for the design world. I especially love this infographic and the portrayal of each group within an agency. Thanks for sharing this Caitlin:)

AMT ring love!

I ordered this from Fab.com (which I highly recommend to everyone) from by AMT. Loved the packaging (which is all debossed), styling and the RING (which is about the thickness of a quarter)! Everyone should check out Fab and by AMT

Think Quarterly Cover Project by Google.

This video makes me so happy. I would love to be a part of this...hint hint to anyone who needs an illustrator to make little creatures:) I would love to have seen how everything was done to bring it into the computer. So cool!

Versace for H&M...my top 4!

You read it right...this is happening in one month. Thanks to Refinery 29 for sharing this information, Versace will be releasing 51 amazing pieces for H&M! I love these designer collaborations. Prices are a little high but seriously somewhere there has to be a little reserve for just one of these pieces. These are my top 4!

You hold the key to my ring finger!

Love, love, love this ring. Recently I have been switching up the ring game, with recently purchasing an amazing ring from Fab.com and acquiring some great rings at sample sales. This ring really struck my wish list. View Etsy shop here.
