Tickle my Fancy Wishlist

This wish list is with SPRING in mind. New York has been an eclectic collection of weather lately. The city is alive with spring fever and bare skin.

1. I used to get a few pieces of jewelry every christmas from QVC through my Great Aunt. I really do have some nice costume jewelry pieces because of her! This ring is really cute, and a great price. $184.00
2. These sunglasses from Cutler and Gross (which has an amazing website) are my dream sunglasses, they are absolutely beautiful. This company makes beautiful art. Originally seen on AnOther Lovers
3. Love the key pendant look. QVC $88.00 on sale for $79.92 (what's with these prices?)
4. I am stuck on the QVC site, I have 4 weddings this year and accessories can really spice up a simple dress. Trying to spend to save:)
5. Asos 70's Straw Floppy hat comes in on the high end of the wants. With summer coming up so fast, my face could use a break from the sun. $26.86 (such a strange amount) Image credited to Asos

The beautiful font for the numbers is Rex Bold Inline. Want Rex? Go to FontFabric and if you like and use it, don't forget to support the creators!

830 Mile Monday

Caitlin (Chattanooga) was in Mexico for 10 DAYS! So we decided before she left we would share our week in 3 images. I love the color difference between NYC and Mexico in February.
I (NYC) attended a few fashion events last week and had our niece in town mixing some beats. Caitlin seems to have gotten very close to the wildlife in Mexico.

NY Fashion's Week F.A.B.nyc at Flatiron Hotel

B Spa Bar and celebrity stylist Jorge Luis, along with stylEast Group and Lifestyle & Charity Magazine, hosted the F.A.B. Fashion Week Party on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at the Flatiron Hotel, with procedes going to Toshi Now Foundation. It was a fun filled evening, with drinks from Voli Vodka.
Models and artists took control of the event and represented their designers very well.
In order of appearance:
  • Mara Louise Cespon did this amazing fashion illustration of me in just under 6 mins (yes, I timed her)
  • Lizzy Gomez
  • Johnny Russia
  • Sandra Baquero
  • Christine Leitner jewelry (these ladies were very excited to be sporting the goods and are BEAUTIFUL).
  • Seemed that event goers really enjoyed the caricature fashion illustrations, this is my good friend Kristen getting hers done.
*all photos are mine.

  5. This ring stuck out from the pack. It is different, and I love and need different. (Ippolita)

Yummy Etsy Shop

Having a couple people talk about my whimsical design asthetic, I was on the search for people who have made a name for themselves with whimsical styling! I came across aftershowershop, on Etsy, and just adore everything they do. These three pieces are by far my favorite. The tealish one with the large bow is on my wishlist for sure, the orange maxi skirt is running a close second! The prices are amazing too. Check this whimsical shop out:)

Raving Fashionista

Raving Fashionista,  always has a straight head on her shoulders when it comes to fashion. We actually went to college together and I remember the day she taught me how to properly put on eyeliner to make my eyes look bigger (the trick is to put it on top of your eyelid and keep the bottom eyelid clean). She recently did a shoot with Stephanie Barone (great photographer), down in South Jersey, showing off that summer clothes can be worn in the winter, if you style it just right; which she so obviously did. I suggest taking some cues from this amazing fashionista!
